Forks for hub brakes

These steel forks are for use with hub brakes and quill stems and 28" (ERTRO 622) size wheels and tyres. One version, in black only, is suitable for 28" x 1 1/2 (ETRTO 635) wheels. There is adequate clearance for up to a 37 mm wide (37-622) tyre to be used together with a mudguard. Both 1" and 1 1/8" steerer tube options are available with a choice of colour for the 1" steerer tube variant.

A welded on bracket for a hub brake, either drum or roller brake, is included. Note that some photos show a dynamo bracket which is no longer included with these forks.

The distance between the axle and crown is 37 cm. The steerer tube is 25 cm long and approximately 14 cm of the tube is threaded. For a shorter steerer tube, first fit headset parts, use a hacksaw to cut the steerer tube down to the required length, a file to round off sharp edges on the cut and then unscrew the headset parts as this will help to re-form threads around the cut so that you can use the steerer tube.
