Bicycle lighting options were once quite primitive. But there's no excuse for weak lighting now. These days there are many options which allow for riding safely even in complete darkness. The most sophisticated lights below are especially effective because they use carefully shaped lenses and mirrors to keep all the light in a focused beam on the road in front of you without blinding people coming in the opposite direction and wasting little light upwards and to the sides.
