Recumbent / Velomobile parts

Parts which are especifically useful for recumbent bikes, trikes and velomobiles. Includes brake maintenance, lighting, pedals and suitable tyres.

In the summer we suggest the sportier Marathon Racer or Shredda tyres. When looking for maximum reliability or in the winter the Marathon or Marathon Plus allow you to continue to cycle rather than fix flats.

For a Mango we think the 40-406 size Marathon on the front combined with 47-406 Marathon Plus on the rear makes a good, reliable combination with sufficient air volume for a comfortable ride. However, in the depths of winter, the Marathon Winter studded tyre is invaluable to prevent losing control on ice (one of these on the back wheel is more important than two on the front).
