Schwalbe Inner Tube

Good quality Schwalbe Inner tubes, in a variety of sizes. It's essential to use the correct size of inner tube, both in wheel size and tyre width, to accompany your tyres.

Popular sizes include the DV17, which is standard for Dutch utility bikes, and the SV6, which is a good quality tube for narrower tyres on 20" wheels for folders and recumbents. The SV6A is a lighter weight version of this tube suitable for racing.

In the options, the sizes are given as minimum/maximum width - minimum/maximum ETRTO wheel size and valve type.

Presta valves are high pressure valves as used on racing bicycles. Schrader are the type used on cars and many mountain bikes. Dunlop are the traditional type with a removable valve. We have a page which describes details of all three types of inner tube.

Special types of inner tube, such as long valve versions, or extra light versions, have an additional cost. The SV6A is a very good light weight tube for 406 size wheels. Not only do you save weight with such an inner tube, but it's also more supple and therefore rolling resistance is reduced. Ideal for racing.
