The Busch und Muller IXON Core IQ2 headlight offers a lot of light from a small package. This StVZO (German standards organisation) approved headlight has a shaped beam which makes optimal use of the light output and does not blind oncoming cyclists or drivers.

There are two modes, for a 50 lux or 15 lux output. These allow running times of a claimed 3 or 15 hours from the inbuilt lithium battery. The battery is charged with a micro-USB connector so can be topped up almost anywhere. The light has a sturdy aluminium case but weight is just 112 g including battery and mounting hardware.
