The Busch und Muller 901/3 makes an ideal basis for a velomobile mirror. For use on a velomobile, the standard mounting parts are not used. Instead, an M6 thread is cut on the mounting bracket and this is used together with two M6 nuts and two M6 washers to mount the mirror through an M6 hole drilled in the velomobile body.
Order a complete set of parts required to build the mirror. This includes the Busch und Muller mirror, two stainless steel washers and two stainless steel nuts as shown in the video below which demonstrates how the mirror is made and assembled:
Note: By default the standard mounting parts, which you won't need, will not be included with your order.
Tools required: To complete the DIY mirror you'll need a hacksaw, a 10 mm spanner and an M6 die. To mount the assembled mirror you'll require just a 10 mm spanner. No tools are included with the mirror.
This modified mirror is really only suitable for use on a velomobile. If you wish to buy a mirror for something other than a velomobile - for example an open two or three wheeled recumbent or a standard upright bicycle, please see our wider range of mirrors.
