Alligt chain tensioner

This chain tensioner is intended for recumbent bikes, trike and velomobiles but may also be useable on some other unusual bicycles where extra chain tension needs to be accommodated due to unusual combinations of gearing or extra long chains.

The part exerts pressure with a spring against the chain with a chain idler running on sealed bearings assuring low friction.

Originally designed for the Alligt Alleweder which, like most Dutch velomobiles, uses square section tubing for the frame, this part requires mounting on a flat area of 60 mm x 21 mm. Six mounting holes are provided for this purpose using rivets or bolts. For other types of frame you'll need to do some DIY to create a flat area.
