Most people don't have to replace their brakes, but sometimes it is necessary. One particular problem I've found before is cheap / badly designed V brakes which rapidly become stiffer in use, and which are difficult if not impossible to adjust for good braking. Shimano's V-brakes work reliably. If you're having trouble with adjusting a less well designed V brake this is probably the best way of resolving the problem.
Pick either front wheel (facing forwards) or back wheel (facing backwards) options. All are silver in colour.
