Extra smooth inner cables reduce the friction in your brake cables. Therefore more of the pressure you put into pulling the brake cables is actually used to stop you. Note that these cables are available only with the ends shown in the photos, suitable for most utility and mountain bikes, but not suitable for most dropped handlebars.

These inner cables are made of stainless steel to avoid the problem of corrosion and have a length of 2 metres, making them suitable for front or rear brakes on most bicycles.
