Alligt bottom bracket holder

Alligt's bottom bracket holder fits the 40 mm x 40 mm square section aluminium tubing used on many recumbent bicycles, tricycles and velomobiles. The 40 mm version is for unpainted tube while the 40.6 mm version is intended to fit painted tube. The holder is made of a special plastic reinforced with a high percentage of glass fibres. It's very light in weight. Supplied with clamps, but the bottom bracket itself must be purchased separately (use a standard 68 mm wide BSA thread bottom bracket)

Optionally includes a derailleur support. These are available in several different angles from the horizontal. With care the supports can be adjusted by up to 5 degrees by bending the part. Do this in a vice without the part installed on the bike. Note that you should bend only once - repeated bending will cause the derailleur support to fail. When setting up a Mango or Quest velomobiel with an extra large chainwheel or when setting it up for people with shorter legs, it may be necessary to use a smaller angle from the horizontal.
