28 inch wheel with Shimano dynamo hub (ETRTO 622)

Two different Shimano dynamo hubs are available, the DH-3N20 with wheel nuts or the DH-3N30 with a quick release. Performance is similar, so the choice should come down to whether you want a quick-release wheel. For touring it can be useful because it makes puncture repair easier, but on a town bike a quick-release is a liability as it makes theft of the wheel easier.

The rims are all from Rigida and can be either single walled or double walled (deeper in appearance). See additional images for profiles of the rims. All rims are aluminium, one is coloured black. All spokes are stainless steel.

All dynamos, whether hub or bottle, have the same output: 6 V 3 W. Any of our front and rear dynamo lights can be used in combination with one of these wheels, or you can use just a dynamo front light in combination with a rear battery light.

You will need to apply rim-tape to prevent damage to your inner tube.
