Philips Safe Ride 60 Lux headlight - for dynamo

The Philips Safe Ride is probably the brightest dynamo headlight, with the best beam pattern, currently available - exceeding even the B&M IQ Cyo in effectiveness.

It's also a very nicely built lamp, with an aluminium body, not plastic, for strength and also efficiently taking away heat from the light source.

Two high power LEDs are used to produce 60 Lux of light, shaped to light up the road up to 50 m away without dazzling oncoming traffic. In some juridictions this lamp can also be legally used as a headlamp on smaller motorbikes.

The standlight function keeps the light glowing for four minutes after you stop, which is plenty for negotiating traffic lights and turns.

This lamp comes with cable to attach to the dynamo, but you may need additional cable to attach a rear light. The switch allows convenient usage with a hub dynamo but the light can also be used with a bottle dynamo.
