Winter tyres

Winter can be a bit of a challenge by bike. For me there are two issues. Firstly, fixing punctures is especially unpleasant in icy conditions, and secondly you can slip.

For winter usage we especially recommend the Schwalbe Marathon Plus tyres for their extremely long life and reliability against punctures. The Schwalbe Marathon offers nearly so excellent performance against punctures at a somewhat lower cost. When it gets icy we suggest the Marathon Winter which has metal studs to penetrate the ice and keep you upright even in the worst of slippery conditions.
